About Me

I have been holding a camera in one form or another for as long as I can remember. While my earliest efforts were just for play, I still shoot because it is fun. I seek out the natural beauty this country has to offer, from the grand vistas to the local details too often unnoticed.

Today I shoot primarily with professional 35mm format digital SLRs, though I also enjoy cranking a little film through medium format cameras now and then. Regardless how I record them, I carefully scan, process and examine my favorite images on the computer screen before considering them for printing. My intention is always to put onto paper the feel, the emotion, and the sense of place that I felt when I aimed my camera and pressed the shutter. I try to focus on the abundant beauty of the natural world, from Acadia to Yosemite to my own back yard.
